Our commitments for a sustainable future
At Ceisa Packaging, the Carbon’Slim programme has focused over the past several years on reducing our environmental impact and that of our clients through specific measures.
The 3 main objectives of Carbon’Slim programme are:
- to accurately measure our environmental impact both internally and at our clients’ and to identify specific areas of improvement
- to develop ecological and innovative products
- to use eco-responsible processes
Some of the Carbon’Slim initiatives implemented since 2000 include:
- 2000: launch of the processing of 99% of VOCs
- 2004: launch of the first generation of ultra-thin films to reduce thicknesses by 20% among our clients
- 2005: testing of the first PLA sleeves
- 2006: lifecycle analysis and multi-criteria environmental overview of printed multipack films
- 2007: internal recycling and reuse of our production waste - launch of the Recy’Clear concept
- 2008: introduction of a solvent-free engraving system, 100% ecological. Launch of the first Ultra’Slim programmes among our clients
- 2009: Imprim’Vert certification. Launch of a Carbon’Slim tool to accurately assess possible carbon savings among our multipack, sleeve and label clients
